Decide what the space needs to do
A reception backdrop may need a clear brand introduction; a restaurant feature wall may need atmosphere; a retail area may need a product story. Choose the main viewing position and keep important elements clear of furniture, fixtures and door openings. A photograph of the whole wall helps turn an idea into a useful brief.
Compare wall coverings and portable displays

Measure the actual installation area
Record width and height and mark interruptions such as sockets, recesses, doors and radiators. Identify whether the wall is smooth, textured, newly painted or otherwise unusual. Do not assume the file should simply match a rough room measurement: agree the final artwork size, panel layout and fitting allowance for the chosen material.
Plan the artwork around the wall
Large images need enough detail for their intended viewing distance. A small web image enlarged to wall size may appear soft. Supply the best original artwork available and ask for guidance if the file size or resolution is uncertain. Keep faces, logos and essential words away from awkward joins and obstructions.
What to include in your quotation request
Send measurements, surface photographs, the intended design, quantity, delivery location and required arrival date. Say whether you need supply only or want to discuss installation requirements; do not assume fitting is included. Ask for the material, finish, artwork requirements and current production schedule to be confirmed before ordering.
